Aslı Ertekin is an experienced ethics & compliance (E&C) professional with over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. She has developed expertise in E&C programme management, risk management, fraud and misconduct investigations, managing third-party risks, procurement, contracts management, oil and gas pipelines, as well as onshore and offshore operations, and project management.

She graduated from Hacettepe University's Department of International Relations and holds a Master’s degree in European Union and International Economic Relations from Ankara University in Türkiye. Her professional journey began in 2006 at BP's Ankara office in the Contracts and Procurement department. In 2013, she was appointed as Ethics and Compliance Manager for Türkiye, and in 2018, she assumed the role of Regional Ethics and Compliance Programs Team Leader. She currently oversees BP’s operations in Mauritania and Senegal as the Head of Ethics and Compliance.

Ertekin holds the ICA International Compliance Certificate and serves as an instructor in the “Corporate Ethics and Compliance Management” training program at the TEID Academy and Leadership Professional in Ethics&Compliance from Ethics&Compliance Initiative in the US. Aslı Ertekin held the position of Audit Board Member in TEID’s 6th term, served as Chairperson of the Board of Directors in the 7th term, and as Deputy Chairperson in the 8th and 9th terms. She also shares her insights as a guest writer for INmagazine and speaks on topics related to E&C programme management, diversity and inclusion, and third-party risk management.
